From the Stage at Rustenburg to the Airwaves of South Africa
During her time at Rustenburg, Samantha Lehoko, otherwise known as “Sam”, discovered her passion for language, drama and music. She often credits the mentorship of Mr. Skelly for playing a pivotal role in shaping her confidence and creativity.
After leaving the halls of Rustenburg, Sam pursued diverse academic paths, studying Sociology, Anthropology, Ethics and Photography. This background gave her a deep understanding of human behavior and the importance of meaningful connection.
Today, as a mother of two sons, she continues to model values of resilience and excellence, proving that showing up authentically is the key to leadership.
In 2012, Sam’s professional journey took flight when she joined YFM Radio Station. Since then, she has become a household name across South Africa’s leading media platforms, including Metro FM, Power FM and Primedia’s 947.
Whether she is acting as a television presenter, radio personality or a sought-after motivational speaker, Sam uses her voice to create spaces where people feel heard and empowered.
Beyond the spotlight, Sam’s commitment to service is truly inspiring. She currently serves as a Director of Rise Against Domestic Violence, is an advocate for survivors of gender-based violence and a is a Community Advocate. She works within the Narcotics Anonymous community to support those in recovery.
She is also an entrepreneur, leading “Luxury Assured”, a concierge company focused on personalized lifestyle solutions.
At the core of Sam’s diverse career is a simple yet powerful belief in the power of compassion and connection. Her journey from a Rustenburg student to a national voice is a testament to what can be achieved when you use your voice with purpose to make a meaningful difference.
