Two Rustenburg alumnae, Lily van Rensburg and Emma Bowers Swart from the Class of 2016, have been chosen as Mandela Rhodes Scholars for 2024. The Mandela Rhodes Foundation offers young African leaders a prestigious Postgraduate Scholarship and a Leadership Development Programme to continue Nelson Mandela’s legacy.
Lily, with a background in Film and Media Production and Curatorship, focuses on colonial and apartheid-era art. Emma, a passionate advocate for education and leadership, has showcases dedication to community service and academic excellence.
